BigPimpin91 Posted June 1, 2008 Report Posted June 1, 2008 Just looking for one 18" Sub. Preferable a Mach 5 Audio 18". I only have $100 and I'm going to be working with box design more than Driver Quality. Will Upgrade to DC at a later time when I am satisfied with which box sounds best. pk222 Posted June 2, 2008 Report Posted June 2, 2008 I dont have any subs to sell you but just wanted to let you know that perfecting a box with a mach 5 probably wont help that much when you change to the dc. recommended box sizes for the mach 5 18 are 2.8 sealed 4.5 ported to 30 hz the recommendation on the dcs are 5.75 cu ft ported. I know you probably aren't going to stick with the recommendations from the manufacture but judging by that and their specs they will require different boxes to sound their best. Quote

The box is going to be ~6 ft and isn't a normal "Ported" box. Actually, there is no box. Quote BigPimpin91's Banging Music

white_boi_audio Posted June 3, 2008 Report Posted June 3, 2008 Dang for that price of 117 a piece and they look nice and 600rms. the only thing is that they only come in single 4 ohms and single 8 ohms. Do you think If I were to purchase two of them and put them in a 10 cubic foot wall tuned to 30 hertz and wire them together into a 2 ohm load and run them off a crunch ground pounder 2500d at 2 ohms would I be loud, and shakin the shit outta things and hurtin ears I am ready to do a wall. BigPimpin91 Posted June 13, 2008 Author Report Posted June 13, 2008 (edited) I have 4 of them in a wall... I just bought two from a gentleman who had 4 of them in a wall. Loudest beat I ever heard. Not good for numbers though. Does a 144 BR with a wall behind second seats in an Astro Van. 48.4 on a Burp. Edited June 13, 2008 by Bigpimpin91 Quote BigPimpin91's Banging Music
