ChicagoOutfit Posted February 10 Report Posted February 10 Hello, I have a question. I hope this is the right section/forum for this. I am looking into wiring up a SPDT IRhapsody 40/30AMP 12VDC Waterproof Relays with Built-in Diode, 5-pin Automotive Relay for my system, which is... Pioneer AVH3500NEX, Kicker 46CXA6605 CXA6605-4x90-Watt 4-Channel Full-Range Amp w/300-watt Class D Sub Channel PRV AUDIO Car Audio DSP 2.8X Digital Crossover and Equalizer 8 Channel Full Digital Signal Audio Processor DSP with Sequencer Remote Relay Clarion EQS755 7-Band Car Audio Graphic Equalizer, KICKER 48TRTP122 12" Thin Down-Firing Subwoofer w/Passive Radiator Enclosure, 2-Ohm, KICKER 46CSC654 - Two Pairs of CS-Series CSC65 6.5-Inch (160mm) Coaxial Speakers, 4-Ohm (2 Pairs) NVX XCAP1F True 1.0 Farad 20V Digital Capacitor with Digital Read-Out Built-in Distribution Block Please don't ask about the setup, lol... I am still trying to figure all this out. I have been out of the game for some time. Could anyone guide me to the correct wiring for this setup? This is for a 2001 Honda CRV, by the way. My reason behind this is that sometimes my head unit shuts off, and I really don't know why. I have the DSP and Equalizer remote connected to the radio, all in one. Would that be wrong? Maybe not enough voltage is going to the system itself? If anybody has time, I would appreciate it. I will be willing to even FaceTime, Google video chat, whatever, for the help, thanks in advance. Joe X Posted February 10 Report Posted February 10 (edited) Turning on 2-3 devices from your head unit would never cause any issues, when you are trying to turn on something like 10 amps plus dsp and other stuff you may get that some do not turn on and then you try the relay but this will not result in the head unit turning off. To me it looks like the power lines of your head unit might have a poor connection, your car's turn on switch could have some issue or you could have poor grounding. Although infrequent your head unit could have an issue also. To check you will need a cheap multimeter, make sure you have one. Edited February 10 by Joe X Quote
