Watts Vs Cone Area?

hmm so its efficiency that plays a big part in how loud a sub can go

edit: dont some people lie big time on efficiency though?

efficiency says it all. Everyone looks at a subs power rating to judge how loud it will be....but in reality it doesn't say squat. If you've got a sub with an 80db sensitivity rating it will take say 2000watts just to get it to play just as loud as a 90+db sub on 500watts.

ps

ohhh i get it. put a basic "formula" or another example down on how cone area, watts, and sensitivity and how they all mesh together

there is no basic forumla. and like already noted, it's all subject to install.

you're thinking too hard. doing that will give you brain anurisms.

I think he meant the two twelves sharing the 1000 watts vs. one twelve on 2000 watts. That's just how I took it
