Bonappetit
I was curious to what causes impedience rise. Is it certain tones? like does a higher tone cause i higer impedience rise. Lets say like a 46hz tone comepared to a 30hz tone Team Sundown 3 15" Sundown Nightshades 1 RD HW D9 amp 10.5 cubes tuned 30hz
kingsuv
Impedance rise is caused by a couple of things. Electrical, As the coils heat up the Impedance will change. Mechanical, As the subs are moving, the pressure will change in the box and raise the impedance. Depending on how the box is setup will dictate what kind of rise you get. Designing, building, and shipping boxes. Yahoo IM - kingsuv00If the listening level is too loud, please inform the driver, so he can promptly pull over, and let you out. not many cars can get me to pluggin my ears but this one.......damn. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.

Decaf
how would you go about lowering impendence rise by box design alone lets say i got 1200 "rms" @ 1 ohm going to my sub in 3.6cuft@32hz and impendence rises to 2.5ohms, how could i change the box to lower the rise smaller box/larger box, more port surface area/less port surface area, higher tuning/lower tuning
