What are its properties and what does it do? I want to take it off. I removed a section on it awhile ago to make clearance for my Short-Ram Intake and now I want to just take all it off. Quote Derp.

pstone11 Posted June 10, 2008 Report Posted June 10, 2008 A few sound deadner companies make thin under hood insulation that works the same (or could be exactly the same) as hushmat or dynamat, just as thin and everything I really forgot which ones though.. I'd call Hushmat and ask them about their heat tolerances or of they know the company that makes it. It may never hurt your paint, but I've seen it happen, and I wouldn't want to take that chance.
