will the diamond blues have enough light to brighten up the road, or will it be about like regular halogens?

I think the Diamond Blue bulbs I ran where brighter then stock halogens that where in the cars. I used brighter bulbs tho, I ran 80 or 85 watt low beams (instead of the standard 50 or 55 watt. The bulbs where brighter, and street signs lit up really good at night. I ran the Diamond Blue bulbs in my 86 and 87 civic hatch backs, my 91 grand am, and my 90 thunderbird sc.

My Caddy had those farenheits bulbs for my lowbeams (they where also higher wattage) and from the best recolection the diamondblues walked all over the farenheits.

I noticed a huge change in brightness from my farenheits to my hids. I am running a 8000k temp MTEC kit I bought from ebay. They offer a great warrenty and back it up (since I blew a ballast from voltage drop due to a bad alternator). I had a new ballast in less then 2 weeks (including shipping). There are a few others here running the same kits, without problems. I also got them in a friends buick and he has had no problems.

If you ever get hids, look to spend at least $250+ on a kit.

Phillips brand hid bulbs are the best to get.

In most states the color temp of 10,000+ are ILLEGAL. This goes for normal bulbs and hids.

Bulbs such as the streeglows that come in yellow, blue, green, red, purple are just show bulbs and are not legal.

The higher the color temp is the darker the color bulb, the darker the colored light (like purple) is the less light output.

-Standard oem bulbs are around 3000-3800k temp.

-4350k are super white bulbs. This is where the silverstar bulbs come into at around 4000k.. http://www.sylvania.com/ConsumerProducts/A...AskedQuestions/ heres a link that says their temp.

As stated they are great bulbs, Very overpriced, and will suck if your going for the blue tint look.

-around 6000k are hid diamond white. These are around the temputar of bmws, volvo, volkswagen, benz etc with stock hids you see, they are really white, the colored glow actully comes from the reflections in the projecters.\

I can not honestly say if those are the same diamond blue bulbs or not, I know mine had the blue tinted glass where those ones I see are clear.

I could let them go cheap, but with shipping your better off buying them new plus i have no idea how many hours they have on them. They are well withing your budget if you buy them new.

i sent them an email, and they responded this morning. they seemed to be a decent site. i need a second battery before i get these. i finished my build today, and it slams. the lights do nasty tricks. like almost cut off haha. but im sure ill get some cash for the birthday and then ill get everything.
