Need some help

I need some help fellas. I built a sealed fibreglass box for my 2 x 12" woofers awhile ago.

I liked the sound of it until I popped my bassboxing setup back in the car and now I want to port the fibre.

I have two options, one easy but might not work or one damn difficult one but will work.

my question, the subs are sprta facing upwards, so I basically want to turn it into a crx style box with the port facing to the rear.

The problem is, if I port it to the rear, the ports will be 2.7 inches away from the back of the car.

Would this destroy my sound or can I go ahead and do this, as this will save me alot of time and money

i dont think that box has enough air for them subs, does it?

yeah it does, 1.4 cubes per sub. The box goes much lower than what you can see. sad thing is, I have to invert the subs to get that  :-X

so, is 2.7 inches enough space or not?
