Jcoleman134 Posted June 27, 2008 Report Share Posted June 27, 2008 I'm going to be building a box with in the next month or two and the max dimensions i have are 36" wide, 24" depth, and 19" high. well my problem is im not sure how/where to mount them. considering if i had a port 5 inches wide. that wont leave me enough to have the 15's mounted side by side. and im sceptical(sp) on making the port smaller. EricR Posted June 27, 2008 Report Share Posted June 27, 2008 have the 15's slightly angled toward each other...kinda like a clamshell would be. you could have a width of about 20-25 inches for both 15's depending on how much you angle them....know what im sayin. EricR Posted June 27, 2008 Report Share Posted June 27, 2008 why? all you have to do is cut the side of the piece that will be angled at an angle so that it will set flush against the front baffle. then for the top and bottom just have it come all the way out like it was a regular box. you could even lay some mirror on the bottom. just gotta use your imagination just an idea... I can see that angled one having cancellation and phasing issues inside the box because one sub Is pretty much free-airing into the port while the other has sort of a loading wall.
