Guest
caps hardly solve the problem with dimming lights, all's they do is put a bigger strain on your electrical system and cause it to fail faster Batteries>Caps no matter what someone says about caps Edited June 30, 2008 by Krannyman92
hotshot27
I have a 2 farad cap and the ONLY reason I use it is because it has a voltage display on it. And it was free. Multiple batteries would be a good idea if you are running 5500 watts. and a new alternator Edited June 30, 2008 by hotshot27 Quote Current Setup: Factory HU with LOC mids/highs-Insignia components Sub- E8 in bass tube Amp- sae-1200d Show Setup: HU-Sony MEX-1HD (brings massive respect for sony) fronts - Infinity Kappa perfect comps rears- Infinity Kappa coax mid/high amp - Autotek 5600 Subs - 2 RE SE 15's Sub Amps - 2xSAE-1200D Box - 5cubes sealed Wire- Lots of Knu 1/0 SECOND SKIN
RamenNoodles
Sell the cap, and buy a stinger volt meter with it. Problem solved. Take the money you were originally going to buy for caps, and put it for like 1 nice deep cycle battery. Its like having a million caps. Go with a Kinetik HC 2400 or a Power Master D3100. Hell even another Optima would be 100x's better than a cap. I have heard of people having a cap on their system, then take it off and gain 3dbs from doing so. And like it was posted before, read the quote in my sig. Quote Diablo Audio Technologies Fi Car Audio Ascendant Audio
Guest
the hc600 is 100 1F caps or something right...so the hc2800 is technically like 500F , the Deka 9a31 is around 500 Farads too
