qu1cks1lver56 Posted July 1, 2008 Report Posted July 1, 2008 so ive seen everybody puttin 2+ batts in their vehichles. and someof them are diff than the front batt. i always thought they all had to be the same exact batts or one of them would never get charged right. so am i wrong or do they use an isolator or something? jmsonoma03 Posted July 2, 2008 Report Posted July 2, 2008 i think the rule is to have all new batteries of the same type like agm. and not to mix agms with regular batts. you can mix them but its not recommended .say you had a stock batt under the hood and you installed 2 power masters in the trunk .stock or normal batts rest at like 12.4 and the agms are more like 13. and above.thats from what i have read. hope it helps
eaglescorpio1 Posted July 2, 2008 Report Posted July 2, 2008 I am running a stock up front and an hc2400 in the rear and have had no issues. Plan on upgrading front battery, but the shop I bought the 2400 from said there should not be any issues. In fact, you can call kinetik or powermaster and talk to the tech department. I did that with ohio regarding a big three wiring issue. Loud as f*ck, and sounds good doing it. Team built from here on out!!!! BIG things to come......... Missing link is the shite!!!

It is better to have all AGM if possible, becauase the resting voltage of a flooded battery is lower than an AGM, so it won't perform quite as well. From a safety/functionality standpoint, there is no problem though. 1-888-MECHMAN www.Mechman.com [email protected]
