251customs Posted July 2, 2008 Report Share Posted July 2, 2008 i know it has been asked a hundred times of which amp r better but this is my setup 4 fi btl 18's loaded 6 kinetik 2400's two 275 atls and bracket (from national alt) sorry dom but i got a tremendous amount of help from them when i call the first time. i have the # if anyone needs it..... the amps i have now are 4 pb asa 1000ds each running .5 ohms. i was thinking about 4 lanzar opti 4000ds at .5 ohm or 2 opti 6000ds at 1 ohm or i was going to buy more pb 1000s and put two on each woofer at 2 ohm strapped. things to keep in mind the truck is a daily driver and the batteries take a freakin beating with the setup now. so i dont really want to buy any more batts or alts so theres my delema. or is there one big freakin amp that i can use ( i have 4 dual 1 ohm woofers) oh yeah and a maxxlink, the greatest thing ever invented...... 02 dodge ram quad cab 4.7 pioneer 9800bt pioneer 5700 dvd(yes 2 headunits 5700 for dvd only) 1 re xxx 15 (new style in center console) 4 18" fi btls in snugtop 12 mb quart 6.5s original ones not maxxsonics (kicks, 3 in each front door 2 in each back door) quart 4" dash sp 2 soundstream xxx6500s 1 pd asa1000.1 for the xxx15 4 pb asa600.4 highs 4 7" screens 1 15" flipdown 2 red tops 16 g31 yellow tops playstation 2 4 8x11 p.a. horns under truck (music plays through them) db 80.2 for horns 2 underglow kits (1 flex kit in fenderwells) 24" martin bros vampires Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

But then again people never seem to take into consideration of box and impedance rise, so they think their amps are running at .5 ohm because they got a dual 1 ohm voice coils wired in parallel, but in reality they are running a higher then expected load.
