Time For Me To Learn From The Competitors.. Db's And Such

Recommended Posts

so last night i tried to prove David wrong and lost. lol it sucked

so in order to prevent myself looking like an ass again (and others possibly) i want this thread to be dedicated to the correct info about db's. such as the power increase to db increase ratio. wut is considereed twice as loud (and why i was taught wrong for so long)

basically this is a thread for the true competitors to let us young guys learn from your experience. anything u think a young competitor should know drop it here.

my pen and paper is ready. so pleez teach me

Man the biggest thing I have learned about DB Drag vehicles is trial and error.

There is some science to it but most of what I have seen or worked with or was envolved with all led back to just trying an idea.

Then taking it apart and trying something else and so on and so on.

The 2 guys that trained me about this type of stuff (DB Drag) we would do our work in the day and when the shop shut down at 7:00 we or they would stay and be there until 12:00 to 1:00 in the morning doing testing almost everynight.

Theres just alot of trial and error.

If you look at thier profiles on Termpro you will see that they were(I think one retired) and are good competitors.(Many world finals invites)

Thats all I can tell you.

I'm confident in saying that there really isn't anyway to work this type of stuff out on paper first.

Thats the extent of my experience.

Isobaric - Refers to the practice of coupling two drivers together to make them act as one.

When your dealing with 160DB plus DB drag vehicles you just really don't know what its going to take to get that extra DB.

I've also heard of people who doubled amps and only gained .1db.

There is also a mechanical limit to what the subs will pump out.

yellow. the truth behind db's is yellow. the brighter the better. stickers help too, especially if they're yellow...but it's not the same as say, gel coating your port yellow.

ancient db ninja secret.

that and beer.
