Trunk Car Box Question.

im goin to be runnin 2 dd 8's in my cobra and im getting ready to build the box. should i do subs and port back or subs back and port to the side.?

2000 gmc yukon

4 sundown Zv3 15's

4 dd m2a's

kenwood kdc-x994

2 batcap 4000's 1 batcap 2000

dual alts.

What year cobra is it? If it's a fox body cobra, I'd say sub up, port back; but if it's a trunk, sub and port back should work nicely.

Or, you could always seal the subs and port from the trunk and have them firing into the cabin. Very similar to a blow-thru on trucks.

Hmm... I always thought that going sub up, port back in a trunk car would cause excessive rattle on the trunk lid.

I think the 96? had fold down rear seats right?

if they did and you want it to sound good, not rattle, and be loud... port and subs firing in sealed off from the trunk.

yea it has the fold down seats. so firing into the cabin sealed off would sound better then firing to the rear?

generally speaking yes...also there will be alot less trunk rattle because most of the sound and pressure is aimed inside the cabin...Good luck :)
