That box looks dead sexy You have 3 Fridays, 3 Saturdays and two Sundays left. Ok if you take a 4th order box and port the sealed side its a 5th order then if I ported the wall to each chamber that would be a 6th order I tried to make it a str8 ported box nut with no room and the speakers firing at the wall makes it a 5th order Have you ever had your woofers blown?
Forevrbumpn Posted August 27, 2008 Report Posted August 27, 2008 I read only difference between 4th order and 5th order was filter slope/crossover settings basically 5thorder had a steep xover slope as to not damage the subs in high SPL set ups, when a 4th order has no crossover slope so you can get a wider bandwidth, for SQ/SQL set ups all my years doing boxes, I never quite heard that term 5th order, I just assumed you meant 4th order, but I looked it up, and it said that I didnt realize you answered the crossover issue yourself.. lol But I read up the same thing as well I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.
