marknotts
Just built my 1st box for a couple of RE 8's and I'm running them into a 4 ohm load on my SPL Dynamics D1200 amp. (450W rms) The box is dead on 1 cube and tuned to 35hz through a 3" aeroport. The bass is all at the back of the car, I cant seem to bring it forward. Ive tried changing the polarity, the firing direction and x-over settings to no avail? Is there anything else I can try? Also the box sounds a little boomy, not much SQ there! I'm wondering if ive tuned them too low??

Ray
port is small. not by much, but a little small. And expecting "sq" out of a 50.00 woofer is asking alot. They are an awsome sounding driver for that price range though. 2008 California state record holder 157.2 Bassrace2009 California state record holder 157.0 BassraceRollin 50's 158.7db2009 King of Cali Bassrace2009 USACi score 160.5 @ 42hz

marknotts
I'm really not happy with the sound of mine, They sound muffled, like its bass coming from your next door neighbour through the walls! Ive got the LPF set about 80hz ish. It just sounds terrible. Ive checked the wiring and its all correct and in phase etc!
