BiggyDon
First of all I would like to say hi. Long time reader of the forum and would like to say thank you for all the help you guys have been to me even though you all were helping other people. Ok so basicly I got a new car so I'm gonna need new toys. For the last 2 years I've been rolling around in this: 2002 Chevy Trailblazer HU : Eclipse 8454 Frontstage : CDT 6.5" Carbon fiber woofers with 1' silk tweeter ONLY person i know with components :/ Rearfill : Eclipse 6.5" 3way coax Power : PG Xenon 200.4 and a Hifonics BX1500D Substage : RE XXX 15 in a 2.5 ft3 sealed box That setup was sweet for what i spent on all of it. I live 20 miles from the Kansas/Nebraska border in hicksivlle a mile north of a 400 person town and drive 15 minutes to a 2k-3k person town to work. Been busting my butt working 50+ hours for a new setup and I'm starting to plan it. I'm thinking about this: 2007 Chevy Tahoe HU : Eclipse double din something or other with a epicenter in back Or a pioneer premier 880 with a epic160. Frontstage : CDT HD 3way compset with the HD4" and tweet in kickpod with M6 in door and a upstage kit. Rearfill : probably some Braxial CDT set. Power : Rockford Power series. most likely T8004 and a T20001bd Substage : 2 Audioque HD315's or 2 BTL 15's (Dont want to give up all my room in the back. So far the loudest around here is a 1990ish cougar with a pair of L5's or L7's not much compeititon but i'm a base head and love the hobby no one around here is such an enthusist. Everyone at work thinks im nuts for buying a 2wd tahoe in the first place and think more so since I want to put such a system in it and 22" chrome wheels lol So thats what I'm about and all so my question is 2 runs of 1/0 and 2 2400 kintetiks in the back and a 1400 or so kinetik under the hood with an irragi amputator 300 alt enough for 2 of the RF power amps? BiggyDon
I forgot to add that I'm open to suggestions to everything. I am limited as to what I can get around here so pretty much everything has to be online purchases. Is High Desert Audio on ebay an authorized RF dealer?... never had a problem with stuff i've got online but 800 dollars for an amp i would like to have a waranty. Eddy722
HDA is the ONLY ebay authorized dealer for rockford but it's only a 90 day warranty.
BiggyDon
Thanks alot for the reply, I have bought refurbs before and never had a problem. From my experience a refurb is just as good or better than a brand new amp. But I would feel better with a 90 day waranty than no waranty. Is there a better place to get the Power series than HDA? Eddy722
I would just go refurbished from HDA. Its repaired by Rockford and i've got a T20001bd from HDA and haven't had 1 problem since I got it. Almost a year now. You can always get one brand new, but you will pay a good amount for it
BiggyDon
Ok cool thanks for the reinforcing of my want to buy from HDA ;D The more I think about it the HD3's would prolly want a T3K which isn't really out of the price range... I'm a ways from buying anything but I hope to be done by July... if there is ever a thing as done lol Quote DOWNLOADing music is awesome, before i use to walk into a record store and have to shop lift it from the shelfs.. BiggyDon
If I were to get one it would probably be the 4.1 since I wouldn't need the sub out and I'd rather use the decks sub out. I've never seen the epicenter or any audiocontrol product in person. How does the epicenter get its input if it needs a full range signal?... no way to use the sub out for it? emperorjj1
dont most decks have 5 rca outs... 2 front 2 rear and a sub? if you want that equiptment anyway just make sure the deck you buy has the preouts for it Quote J. JMy CardomainFINISHED COBALT SS/SC DUAL ALTERNATOR PICS theres no such thing as too expensive when it comes to upgrades like that, because imo if you are gonna spend to upgrade then do it correctly rather then be a cheap ass ricer
