dbwesz Posted July 12, 2008 Report Share Posted July 12, 2008 hello, i just going over to 4 18's fi btls ive everything now, 4 18'' btls 8 RF t4000bd's what kind of box will you advise to fit this. before i was running 2 18'' en 4 t3000bd's now ive more than double the power en double of woofers. what kind of box enclosure do ya think will be the best for this instal ?? im used to walls, but boxes like meades tahoe are also nice. Your box better be strong as hell then and small as hell to support the subs suspension on that kind of power. what kind is up to you and the vehicle its going in. Is this for farts or music? roscoe1129 Posted July 12, 2008 Report Share Posted July 12, 2008 well I would do a wall 4 inches thick 1" mdf sandwiching 2" of concrete and then build the side and rear walls the same way with allthread or steel reinforcing if it was me. But in a van definately dont do a crx style box unless you plan putting it all the way to the rear like in a s.u.v. But i wouldnt even do that vans are made to wall off and that is the sole purpose they are made for.
