BigPimpin91 Posted July 16, 2008 Report Share Posted July 16, 2008 I thought the same thing brandon it made me think of arab music but I looked at that first song and it looked clipped to me...that second one is clipped real bad too :S edit: is this right or is my junk broke? now audacity doesnt show clipping..... wow.. some1 check this... It is clipped. I can hear it. The first drum and bass track is alright. The bass sweep one is completely fucked. That one is clipped too just not as severely it is that one note right after the kick drum right at 1:01-1:02 is just an example. Audacity is a lying whore. It tells me stuff is clipping when it isn't. Most of the time it has to do with the vocal area, A.K.A. The Non-bass parts of the song. I check a song after some improvements and hot sauce and bass boost and then normalizing and no clipping, yet when I play it back distortion. quakecitystudio Posted July 16, 2008 Author Report Share Posted July 16, 2008 lol im glad you did a diff song, i put the song on my flash drive last night and today i hear it and stoped it real fast, i felt as if i need'ed to put a rag on my head and ride a camel with the beats and sounds in that orignal song lol... were american not camel jockies lol... The track volume on that one is really low. So I had to take it off for improvement. I will bring the track back sometime down the line. The second track should be fine with just beats and bass. The sweep track and the second track didn't show any clipping to me, audacity. But, I have to listen to them again to be sure. I played your string beat in Audacity and it is clipping between 17s and 30s mainly when the bass hits. I would look at Normalizing the track to -0.9 and that should take the clipping out without affecting bass output. It's a rough track I'm working on, so the Kick when The bass hits combines with the Highs and makes it looked clipped even though it isn't. I will look into normalizing though.
