So this is a weird topic I know, but when I bought the waffle grills for my 12's from an audio shop in town they made my truck smell really strange. The only smell I can compare it to is almost like a bleach scent. I'm not sure if it's the paint on them, or the plastic bag packages they were in. I remember when buying them I threw them down on the floor board in my passengers side while I ran some errands for a few hours that day and I noticed the smell. My biggest fear is that them being so close to the air conditioner I got all that nastiness sucked up into the filters and such because it's been almost 2 weeks and I still have the smell.

Anyone might have any ideas of how to remove the funk from the grills? I know some of the smell is coming from them, you can put your nose close to the grills and they have the smell.

Thanks guys, sorry for such a strange question... :unknw:

I did some reading and supposedly if you put things in a container with vinegar it gets rid of the smell, then you let the vinegar smell air out and its supposed to be gone. Not sure if this isn't just something pulling my leg or what, but hey I guess it's worth a shot...
