Phase is mostly used for straping amps

Set it to 0 and ignor it if only useing one amp

phasing issues have been around long before strappable amps hit the market. (yeah yeah, any amp can be strapped with the right equipment, not the point).

phasing becomes a big deal in sq with speaker placement. a LOT of passive crossovers have phase adjusters for the tweeters and mids. if you have those, play with them one at a time just to hear the difference it makes in your car.
