trainman0978
I would never even think up stepping in to compete in IASCA . I run passive components and plain ole type-R subs. But I can tell you with the massive amounts deadening and rattle killing I have done and the gear I have shelled out on, my system sounds pretty damn good. I probably would not kick anybodies ass in a SPL com, and I don't want too. But with the imprint, and running it now probably twenty times trying different techniques using it, I can tell you I have fantastic imaging, a dead center soundstage, and the volume can be turned all the up and remain extremely crystal clear. I wouldn't mind changing a few things, but the imprint makes it so any idiot can have a really well tuned system. You will never hear me talk it down, it is a really great tuning tool. 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser Voo Doo Blue my upgrades and "build" thread. jhmeg2
Quick question for you guys... A friend of mine with a 95' Accord 4 door, he is also a member here, is thinking of redoing his setup. What he had was two MTX 5500 12" in a sledge-hammer box off of a PG Octain 1500 I think. A small Kicker 4 channel running some MB Quarts refrence up front and some Eclipse 6x9s in the rear, a PG 30 band EQ, a Stinger 12 farrad cap, and a Batcap 800. All controled by an Eclipse AVN 5500 deck. Well out went the 12"s for an MTX 9515 in a pre-fab slot port. Then went the 30 band EQ for an AudioControl... Here is the question... He wants to get rid of the 15" and do a DC level 4 XL 10" in a T-line, get rid of both amps and get a Memphis Bell 5 channel. What do you guys think? Will the DC do well as an SQ sub? He wants to be stupid loud, but at the same time sound great doing it. I think the DC is a great choice, but not for an SQ set up... What advice you guys got on this, what are you views?... ////Alpine, Eclipse, Load Boss, Pheonix Gold, MB Quart,Digital Desings, Memphis, Stinger, Periphial, MTX, Visualogic
