Guest aseanj52
Ok, so the box i have has stripped screw holes. So i go out and buy 1/4 inch wide and 2 inches long. But now i have to wonder how i will get the bolts through the sub mounting holes while the bolts are in the box. No i can't reach through the port to hold the bolts. but i have to drill the screw holes out to get the bolt to fit right, I might drill it out to the exact size as the bolt so it fits TIGHT in the wood and maybe some kind of glue too. and just kinda slide the sub over the bolts then tighten them down. Another question, I have T-nuts and regular nuts. Which to use? And i got locking washers and regular washers. Which side do they go on. I was thinking locking on the wood side and regular on the sub side?

Guest aseanj52
WOAH......i just got like smacked in the head.........with my stupidity. Ok, what i was just thinking......putting the bolts through the back of the baffle and forcing them into the screw hole with the locking washer behind them. Then sliding the sub over the bolts, and they stick out so i can tighten them from the front. Make any sense?

Guest aseanj52
~Jaw hit's floor~ Feels like jackass~ It's not even that it might be hard. Cause the idea i'm having just seems ok for me. I don't see and flaw in it, just that it is different. This is how i was envisioning the bolts looking, work with me, imagine the sub being mounted on wood. Is it that dumb. . .? IMO why change the way the bolts face they hold the sub to a piece of wood..... your making it harder than it needs to be... and that way doesn't look as clean as the normal way. Guest aseanj52
I'm not to worried about a "clean" look. The subs are going to be right behind my seat. My only question is. Will it work? And i kinda like the look of big ass bolts coming out my sub.
