99vic Posted July 31, 2008 Report Share Posted July 31, 2008 friday im getting a re mx18 from lazeris (on here) dont know much about the sub but the price was right so i couldnt pass, re says for a ported compact box i need 5.0@35hz and optimal 7.0@34hz now my question is what wood should i buy 3/4 or 1" mdf and how should i build the box? i really want to try the aero port thing because it looks easier but id probably get the pvc pipe because it cost less or should i just save up a little and get real aeros? or do slot port ? ,should i go with the bigger box? i really want to take out the back seat and build the box there( i hate the sound from a trunk system) but if it will work better in the trunk then i will have to do it. also if anyone local (sacramento area)is willing to help me out id be more than willing to drive to you for advice and to show what i have for space to work with OR if someone can take a little time i believe there is a comp aug.9th in auburn i really want to build it my self but id pay for the time and help from someone to coach me along . any help is appreciated guys REST IN PARADISE BIG RICH (Sqmonte) never forgotten Why do you guys ALWAYS dispute on NUMBERS?????
