Popping When Headunit Turns On

When ever my h/u turns on my subs pop, why does it do this, is it bad for them, how can i stop it?

Help please, it makes me cringe when I hear it

i think now dont quote me on this cause i may be wrong but i think its cause you have your gains up too high.

That's why they don't deliver.

Yer ass better go sit along the side of the road and wait.

You can't expect them to travel up some dirt road in a hick / back woods town. Thats how horror movies start :D

I explain things very simply and use analogies in terms of Pickles, and grape drink, pool noodles and jackhammers...if you can't put 2 and 2 together there man, There simply is not much more I can do.

Well it just started doing it today, I had a Sony H/U and it didnt do it, I installed my new Alpine H/U today it it started, so IDK?

i'm not sure, its a pretty loud pop, I mean I grounded the H/U to the ground wire from the harness just like I had the Sony

What RCA voltage is your sony vs the Alpine?

I noticed when I swapped my JVC 2.5 volt deck out for my new Kenwood Excel 5.0v I had a lil sub thump when I turned it on (being that it was grouned with the stock wire harness) I ended up finding a better chassis ground behind the dash and poof no more pop.

not saying it will work for you but it did for me cannot hurt to try.

Yeah my sony's weere like 2.0 v and my Alpine is 4 volts, so thats probably the problem, I will pull it back out and try regrounding it, thanks for the help man!

If that don't work wire a relay into your remote (turn on) wire

thats what i was told to do also, mine pops when i turn my car off
