S1R-BLUNTZWORTH Posted August 19, 2008 Report Posted August 19, 2008 Hello everyone- So I'm wondering... For more power output, should I get 1 t20001bd, or 2 t1500-1bd's? I know the t20001bd was made in 2006, and underrates its power(actually 2850rms@1ohm)- and I know the t1500-bd1's are newer and were made in 2007, and put out roughly what they advertise(1600rms@1ohm)- But the t1500-bd1 amplifier's are so much smaller in size, it appeals to me because my car is pretty small. Anyone have any opinions or recommendations for me? price is not really an issue, just performance Amps - 2x t1500-1bd Subs - 2x hdc315's(copper d2's) Deck - 1940's Amplitude Modulation radio
Beanz Posted August 19, 2008 Report Posted August 19, 2008 what subs you gonna be using? That's why they don't deliver. Yer ass better go sit along the side of the road and wait. You can't expect them to travel up some dirt road in a hick / back woods town. Thats how horror movies start I explain things very simply and use analogies in terms of Pickles, and grape drink, pool noodles and jackhammers...if you can't put 2 and 2 together there man, There simply is not much more I can do.
S1R-BLUNTZWORTH Posted August 19, 2008 Author Report Posted August 19, 2008 what subs you gonna be using? well.. i currently have subs that would be "under-rated" for either of the amps(my mtx 8500's, 500rms each) so I will be having to purchase new subs anyways Amps - 2x t1500-1bd Subs - 2x hdc315's(copper d2's) Deck - 1940's Amplitude Modulation radio

Thanks everybody I have heard of people saying the 1500s really do closer to 1800 watts or so. S1R-BLUNTZWORTH Posted August 22, 2008 Author Report Posted August 22, 2008 I have heard of people saying the 1500s really do closer to 1800 watts or so. That would be nice if i was that lucky- but I don't even know if there are subs that handle 1800watts RMS without costing a buttload how are the power acoustic FUBARS, anyone(lol)? I'd make a guess and say they're total dogshit, has anyone ever heard them powered or smoked by a "real" amp? If I was really frivilous, of course I would get the mtx9500's, the fosgate T2's, or hell even the W7's... but i dont wanna spend that much on speakers if I dont have to. Are there any afforadble 1500w (& w/good efficency/sensitivity) subswoofers? Amps - 2x t1500-1bd Subs - 2x hdc315's(copper d2's) Deck - 1940's Amplitude Modulation radio
