How To Tell If A Song Is Clipped

Recommended Posts

And what does this one mean?

I also checked a few songs from ice Cube's new cd and a lot of the songs are clipped if that's what those numbers mean on audacity...

what's up with that?

Starting and stopping threshold should be on 3 and 3

Heres what a clipped note looks like with find clipping and zoomed in:

So whenever it says "#of#" that means the song is clipped?

In that case I have a problem and I need your suggestions.

There is a song that really bumps in my system and it's called "haterz" and was DJed by B.o.B

The song is here: http://www.filesavr.com/bobftwesfif-haterzeverywhere (Note this is a legal download and I got it from a promotional website and it's allowed to be distributed).

Here is a screenshot:

Is this considered bad? Would it be safe to listen to this but at a lower bass level? If so, how low?

Is there a way anyone here can fix the clipping using audacity ?

Please help, this is my favorite song. This song shakes my whole car (but not as much as White girl slowed does)

I just dled and listened to that song and you can hear the clipping/distortion, and it has been bass boosted b/c when the bass hits the vocals get extremely quiet.

yeah its on his album

remember a little clipping is ok... we are talking tenths of a second.... but a prolonged clipped single like in Mary Jane will cause overheating and many problems after that

its tedious... is a little overkill.... but its really best to use the clipping finder on every song... then watch it on an osciloscope... and determine how severe the clip is and whether the song should be played or not

alot and i mean alot of gucci mane and souljaboy are clipped like crazy... be careful when dl from p2p
