chawk
Ok guys here's a link to a quick box design site. http://www.subwoofertools.com/forum/ported...=&Vas=&Fs=&CE=0 Tell me what you think of this one i have here. I'm thinking of building it in a few weeks. And if you know of any other programs to use to help with box design pass them my way. Thanks Chris
David
that box should work pretty good, I had 2 12" L7's and they pounded hard in my car. here is another site that I use, it helped me alot http://www.bcae1.com/spboxnew2.htm post some pics when your done. chawk
Thanks for the input and link! Like i said it'll probably be in a few weeks, waiting on my bonus check. Working with a strict budget right now. Also this will be my first box build. so hopefully it'll work out for me. I'm still debating on the tunning frequecy for the box, I have right now a box that's 2.4ft^3 per chamber and tuned to 30hz and i love how the lows are. But i also heard there wont be that much of a difference in the lows if i tune it to 34hz, just that it would play a little louder. Am i right in believing this? David
Also if you goto kickers site they give some ideas on differrent boxes for differrent applications. 3.5 cubes tuned to 32 hz is the box the reccomend for SPL that is 3.5 cubes per L7 so I think your headed in the right direction http://www.kicker.com/06/tech-support/manu...s/SoloL7Man.pdf

95pimpalass
I have a Q. I just ordered 2 12'' L7s dvc2 (da new models) and i only have a 750wrms at 2 ohms (C.E.A. rated) amp the ca2600 from Almani (this amp can't handle 1 ohm for daily use) What would be the best ported box for this low of power? 3.5 cubes at 32hz each? or? (I want it to be loud and clean even though i'm gonna use little power.) Edited November 16, 2007 by 95pimpalass
andym85
with less power i think you could get away with making the box a bit bigger then the recommended size... Quote i likes me some audio stuff...
95pimpalass
The recommended cu. ft. is 3.25 so im probably gonna go with the 3.5 at about 33hz. is that koo or what?
