Krice420 Posted September 3, 2008 Author Report Posted September 3, 2008 figured out what i did i feel like a dumbass i ran the wires wrong and was throwing 3000 watts to 2 subs and only one coil on each i dont think it caused any damage since they can handle 3000 on both coils and i only played it for a day. hopefully this will solve my strapping problem due to it actually being 2 ohms now instead of one. 2 18'' fi btls fully loaded 2 sundown saz 3000d 1 iraggi 200 amp alt 3 powermaster 3100d series batts 11.75 cuft wall after displacement tuned to 31.08 hz
Krice420 Posted September 3, 2008 Author Report Posted September 3, 2008 ok redid my wiring and amps came right on. turned gain to half way and bass boost to 0 just to get a feel for it till i get my dmm back from my dad tomorrow and omg shit is fucking slappin. i turned it off at least a mile up the road and i still woke my pops up he was so pissed. proper tuning and pics up tomorrow. oh btw subs are staying nice and cool now. ps. tell me if you think i did any real damage to the sub earlier playing just one coil with 1500 watts and if that smell was just them breaking in. it wasnt too strong and everyone i know that has subs says they smelt a smell when they first got them as well. 2 18'' fi btls fully loaded 2 sundown saz 3000d 1 iraggi 200 amp alt 3 powermaster 3100d series batts 11.75 cuft wall after displacement tuned to 31.08 hz

Krice420 Posted September 3, 2008 Author Report Posted September 3, 2008 haha i was exaggerating im so happy man but no joke it was at least half of a mile without a doubt. yea im watching them they are not coming out but about 3/4 to an inch on lows and i just set my gain to half till i get dmm back. but only thing bothering me im sure its normal since its so much power but there is a little bump when i turn the system on and when i turn it off with the key of course. not sure if its cuz i set gain to half i just figured it would be on the low side i hear no distortion so i assume itll be ok till i get dmm. my rear view mirror was getting up on my windshield on white girl. 2 18'' fi btls fully loaded 2 sundown saz 3000d 1 iraggi 200 amp alt 3 powermaster 3100d series batts 11.75 cuft wall after displacement tuned to 31.08 hz

Krice420 Posted September 3, 2008 Author Report Posted September 3, 2008 no i doubt it mine are staying pretty cool now but before they werent really hot. i could still hold my hand on them without it burning the shit out of me. 2 18'' fi btls fully loaded 2 sundown saz 3000d 1 iraggi 200 amp alt 3 powermaster 3100d series batts 11.75 cuft wall after displacement tuned to 31.08 hz

Krice420 Posted September 3, 2008 Author Report Posted September 3, 2008 idk what caused mine to get hot probably just the fact i was running 1500+ watts to one coil and it wasnt cooling properly. im sure i didnt cause much damage if any at all since shes taking 3000+ and staying cold now and they are still slumpin hard enough to choke me up a little. 2 18'' fi btls fully loaded 2 sundown saz 3000d 1 iraggi 200 amp alt 3 powermaster 3100d series batts 11.75 cuft wall after displacement tuned to 31.08 hz
