jonnylowkon Posted September 6, 2008 Report Posted September 6, 2008 i wasnt really sure where to post this so i figured its being used with the headunit here it is ... so i have a 7 inch video screen in my dash and i have an input for use with a reverse cam ... i have finally decided to wall off my yukon and i would like to know if anyone has had any expericance in using one and how does urs look ... my head unit has a reverse sensing wire so when i shift into reverse it automatically shows the cam input ...so whats everyone using and how does it look?? thanx for any suggestions... 250 amp mechman alt Sundown 100.4D Sundown 1500v2 now goin to the cruze Sundown ZV3 12d2 Sundown sa6.5cs X2 Kenwood X597 Trying something new 2011 Chevy Cruze X8 1500v2

I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.

ptcary Posted September 6, 2008 Report Posted September 6, 2008 I also go the cheap route. Problems that I routinely encounter: #1. Mine is outside the car, so when I go through a carwash, the lens gets condensation on the inside and the sucker goes blurry until it sits in the sun to dry out. #2. All the little white LED lights for night time don't always turn on, so with a custom roll pan with no reverse lights, all I can see is my brake lights at night. Intermittent problem. #3. You need a power line that is switched or ignition on. I powered my camera off the reverse light harness, with a wall, you might want to be able to see out the back via the camera even when the car is not in reverse. I plan to replace mine with a new one, no LEDs, install it inside the car by the rear brake light, and get myself some custom reverse lights!
