251customs Posted September 7, 2008 Report Share Posted September 7, 2008 right now im running 4 18" btls fully loaded i have 8 powerbass asa1000.1 on them with a maxxlink and 6 kinetik 2400s its in a dodge ram in the bed under a camper shell its metering on tl 156 on the dash @35 hz. but a buddy of mine just got into some money issues and sold me his soundstream xxx6500 i have another one also so would the 2 6500s be better than the 8 1000's i need to know before i start changing them out. and will i have enough juice to power the soundstreams with the 8 1000s i can see 11 volts at the redlights 02 dodge ram quad cab 4.7 pioneer 9800bt pioneer 5700 dvd(yes 2 headunits 5700 for dvd only) 1 re xxx 15 (new style in center console) 4 18" fi btls in snugtop 12 mb quart 6.5s original ones not maxxsonics (kicks, 3 in each front door 2 in each back door) quart 4" dash sp 2 soundstream xxx6500s 1 pd asa1000.1 for the xxx15 4 pb asa600.4 highs 4 7" screens 1 15" flipdown 2 red tops 16 g31 yellow tops playstation 2 4 8x11 p.a. horns under truck (music plays through them) db 80.2 for horns 2 underglow kits (1 flex kit in fenderwells) 24" martin bros vampires Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I say you'd be better off staying with the 8 powerbase amps for now. If you could run 4 of the SS6500's I'd say go for that, but you're gonna need tons of batteries.
