Got_Bass89 Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 So i have 4 coax's and 4 extra tweeters all ran off the deck right now. Just a coax + tweeter on each channel. Sounds real good but not blaring like they would be on a amp.. I know I know i need get components but i got stupid 4"s up front and 4x6s in back.. So ima have to start cuttin or fiberglassin.. Anyways I was thinking about ampin them... What kind of load would that be on my amp? emperorjj1 Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 you can get some really good 4" comps and call it a day J. Got_Bass89 Posted September 8, 2008 Author Report Posted September 8, 2008 Ya 4"s still kinda hard to find but i've seen the focals and stuff.. But then i'd amp those and leave the rear off deck... Don't really wanna do that.. wanna amp them all.. I have time to setup amps but not fiberglassin and rippin my truck apart when i drive it everyday to school and stuff.. Sucks commutin to college.. need buy a little beater car lol... emperorjj1 Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 you can easily put some 4" comps in the rears as well. All you need to do is make some block off plates.... remove ur stock speakers and trace the outline and cut the pattern out of wood then cut a 4" and tweet hole and your done But back to your original question if you have a 4 ohm speaker and you add a 4 ohm tweeter you should get a 2 ohm load J. Got_Bass89 Posted September 8, 2008 Author Report Posted September 8, 2008 Well the problem is I donno what ohm the tweeter is doesn't say on box... Box only says Feq 1k-20khz, 91db, silk dome, blah blah.. No ohm.. So you think they're 4ohm tweeters? That means my deck can run 2ohm? Interesting... What would the ohm load be if the tweeters were 8ohm and speakers 4ohm? Also I cant do the plate for the back not enough room already thought of that... tacomabanga1986 Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 all the tweets ive had that ive checked the ohm load on didn't register anything, i got a 6&1/2'' componit set up front and a 6&1/2'' set of coax with extra tweets and my ohm load on the amp is 2ohmx2 so no harm in the headunit at all, but if u were to get an amp, ur best bet is a 2channel cause it will get alot louder if i u have a 200w 2channel than a 200w 4channel cause u can wire a 2ch to 2ohms per side and get 200wrms or u can wire a 4channel at 4ohm on each channel and not get half the power u need from it, ied get a 2channel amp for all the speakers so u can have it ona 2ohm stereo load and get a cleaner signal than tryin to get the same wattage from a 4channel at 4ohm, and for a componit set u can look here http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseac...rt=account_name and its a good website thats were i got my sub amp, headunit and componit speakers, and they only go my price of the stuff on shipping not weight, hope this helps u on ur search, ied get 2 good sets of 4'' componits and put one in the front and make a board like he said and cut it out to the diamiter of the 4x6 and put the speaker on one side and tweet on the other and ur good to go here's a link to my system 99 toyota tacoma , 2 mtx 8000 1504's in a sealed downfire , 1000w memphis amp here's a link to my other system my 90 geo prizm test car heres a thread i got of new songs u can dl that are legal = Some Good Bangage/you Can Dl These Free And Legit
tacomabanga1986 Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 as for the plate, just make a board the same size as the 4x6 and cut out little grooves to go over that metal bar and put em in those should work here's a link to my system 99 toyota tacoma , 2 mtx 8000 1504's in a sealed downfire , 1000w memphis amp here's a link to my other system my 90 geo prizm test car heres a thread i got of new songs u can dl that are legal = Some Good Bangage/you Can Dl These Free And Legit
Got_Bass89 Posted September 9, 2008 Author Report Posted September 9, 2008 Cool cool thanks roscoe... And tacoma thanks for all the amp info... Already knew but thanks still.. Like i said i don't think i can get a 4" in there but ill see what i can do tomorrow.. Bust out some cardboard and try make a prototype heh.. What i'm really thinkin bout is gettin a 4ch to run each coax + tweeter on each channel so it will be a 2ohm or 2.6ohm load and add a center stage in back doors... 6 1/2 component set ran off 2ch... Now to decide what amps to run would like to get matching..
