It will make the amp last longer because it doesn't have to heat up so much. And did you ever reply to my last PM? audiofanaticz Posted September 15, 2008 Report Share Posted September 15, 2008 EDIT: Footlongsam, you can get those subs at 1 ohm. They are dual 2 ohm, just parallel them. You cant get two dual 2 ohm subwoofers to run off 1 amp at 1 ohm. Parallel = .5 ohms. parallel/series = 2 ohms. series = 8 ohms The only way you are getting a 1 ohm load off two 2 subwoofers is if they are either dual 4 ohm, dual 1 ohm, or single 2 ohm coil configurations.
