If you put a car battery on the floor it will drain it. When I was growing up working with my dad and grandpa any tine i took a battery out they always told to put a board between the battery and the floor because otherwise it would drain overnight. But the only way it could be drained is if you have something hooked up that uses power right?

not any floor...you cant put it on concrete

even that is not true. it is a myth from when batteries had glass cases. i left my new castle deep cycle's on the concrete floor in my garage before i put them in my truck. they did not change voltage. i have even had a brand new battery for my wife's cavalier on the floor for over a year now and it still reads 12.4. the same as the day i bought it.
