David
a buss bar is basicly a bar that has either power or ground run to it, so you can pull multiple taps off of it, Im not sure about meade's but most of the time people mount them to the amp rack or Sub box.think of it as a LARGE distrobution block
Guest SyKo13
Yea, I was thinking it was for ground purposes only, but I see that it can be used for power too.SK >
meade916
This might be the shortest 21,000 watt RMS camp in the history of this forum.....im just about done. Theyve all been placed...Power, Ground, Remote all hooked up RCA's not too far away i have a little engine noise from before so tomorrow i replace a gang of them and hook up speakers. Those speakers and the respective wires are all already ran and damn close so im figuring by tomorrow im TOTALLY back on the road. Here is how it went down today... Used this 2 x 4 as a border for the amps....it will be textured to match the box or wrapped to match the seat, either way it should look good and wont have that "amp screwed to the box" look. Unhooked the batts, raised the box up 4". Mounted 2 amps under the bench, 2 on the box, 2 below the box and the last T4k under the box by the batterys. It will be the only one i wont be able to adjust with ease....it dont matter because the new RF amps are master/slaved so set it, forget it! meade916
the verdict is in.....got everything up and running. I got good news and bad news though. I ran my dual .7's in parallel on each amp thinking that it should be fine and if not it would go into protect and i'd just series it up and call it done.......Good news is     VERY MUCH LOUDER AND CLEANER THAN EVER!!! Subs never got stinky it was completely out of control. Bad news...i smoked a T4k. Now i dont know if protect shoulda caught it or not but i probably shouldnta done that i guess. Maybe for burping but not bumping. So Monday i get to send the amp in for repair. Right now im in a series/parallel configuration with only 2 T4k's and again    I WILL SURVIVE TILL I GET MY AMP FIXED!! 2 of the amps DEFINITLY hit as hard if not harder than all 8 bd1500's did and cleaner too. With the 3 huge amps i got on my mids/highs it really is crazy. So bottom line, i had a little trouble, i learned ANOTHER lesson which will be taken care of....now at least i got something to look forward too because when that amp gets here its going to be NUTS.I really think this has a 57-58 on the dash and a 59 on the floor.....i could be wrong but its THAT MUCH louder AND a bag of Chile Cheese fritos! You know its good if i smoke a huge amp and im still smiling!By this time next week i hope to have the FINAL verdict....they will be wired up safer next time.(ps yes i set a bad example by trying the lower ohm load but i figured the protect would save my ass if it wasnt going to work. Oh well, i know now) Quote All SMD products + MORE available at my store here! https://wccaraudio.com/ Subscribe to My Youtube Channel! Over 1,000,000 subscribers strong!
