Will Double Rms And New Equipment Be Worth It?

so i have a chance to pick up 2 RE SX 15's for fairly cheap and i like the way the subs look and ive heard good things bout em

however to properly power them ill have to get a new amp (thinkin a us amps md3d) a new alt (mechman 250) new wire and news batts (powermaster 925's)

plus wood and such for a new proper sized box and i will also need to butcher my back deck to run a port through.

now wut i want to know is with all these changes (and money) will i really be happy with the increase im gonna get? (btw i have 2 kicker cvr 15's in a 4.8 cube box firing forward, ports firing back and about half as much port area as i need on a power acoustik a3000db wit a 1 farad cap)

Short answer. Yes.

I added only 400w to what I have now and it was a huge fucking increase.

Make a box with proper port area and use those RE's and you will feel better with a daily back massage.

i figured someone would say this so ill explain my logic in asking such a question.

initially i wanted to put 2 dc lvl4 xl's in my trunk off 4k rms which i knew would be alot louder than my current setup but alot more money.

then this deal comes along and i like it but i dont want to be dissapointed in spending all that money and effort and getting only a small barely noticeable increase. if that was the case id just go wit the dc's

so i asked the question simply to get some reassurance from some people who know more about this game than me.

Besides, PunkRok, if you don't like the Re's I'm pretty sure you could flip them for what you got them for and put them towards the XL's.

im really excited and i wanna do this so bad but its gonna take some time to get all the money straight to get it done.
