My buddy has my old system in his 97 TJ.

Consists of a Clarion HU.. not sure which one...

Kenwood KAC-8103D amp (300 @ 4, 500 @ 2, not 1 ohm stable)

Scoshe 4 gauge wiring (I think)

Two Pioneer TS-W1200Cs.. IIRC.

In a sealed box that the subs were in when I got them.

He wants to put in his rear seat so he can carry his friends around but he doesn't want to loose any "bass"

He wants a box that will fit in the rear cargo area in the jeep.

Any suggestions on what he should do? Hes thinking of trading for some 10s and a box (not sure what) but I kinda don't wnat him to. Would rather build him a setup.

I'll try to find out what deck and stuff it is. I remember the wiring kit was good for 1100 RMS. However I think it has a small alternator so we probably wouldn't want to go with larger amp.

Buy a pair of P2 10s(about all you can fit back there) and build a custom box.

Here is an install I did in a '97 wrangler, has a pair of P2 10s and a Kicker 400.1. He mainly listens to rock and this setup kicks hard.

oh that looks familiar.. did I already ask about this.. ? my mind is gonnneee.

I'm thinking one IXL-10 in a ported box, depending on space, and a new amp? I would like for him to get a Mach 5 sub as they are in Canada and there is no f*cking with customs and stuff. Plus there really beefy, my buddy was impressed with my SPL-12s.

I'm assuming your talking bout a wrangler, so I would probably be able to get 2 10's back there maybe 2 12's sealed. Those things are small. My mom has one of those 4 door wrangler things, you could fit at least 2 ported 18's there :)
