2001JeepGrandCherokee Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 Both the wire and fuse block I have going to my back battery are melting or a dark color. Could this be a result of drawing to much power, or a short? The wire is 4 gauge, and the fuse is 100 amps. I'm only running a Hifonics Bxi1606d and two 12's.
Toxiccasper Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 Sounds like its just drawing a lot of current through it, next time after running for a while see if the wire is hot by the fuse block
Chode69 Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 running too much current through that wire. step up to 2 ga or 1/0 and go to an ANL fuse block with at least a 150A fuse same happened with my truck i had 2 ga and stepped it up to 1/0 and problem went away NoFearX18 said: Nick will bang just about anything.....LMAO....pun intended On 4/13/2010 at 9:51 AM, meade916 said: i was like DAMN, Chode is hardcore! he makes james look like a friendly person LOL! trainman0978 said: I dont know who is worse with the buttholes Chode or Big P...
