If it was that simple to mod the amps why wouldnt the factories do it them selves so they could sell the amps for more?

Not really sure. most the times mods are not as reliable as a stock factory amp. modding your amp to disable the protection circuit is not too safe, one tiny wrong thing that would normally kick the protection on, would fry your amp making it not work til repairs are giving.

I always wanted to try modding my rft10001bd.

I think you could easily get more power out of this amp by adding 2 more mosfets and a capacitor.

This is my old t10001bd. you can see where the 2 fets could be added along the top, and the capacitor on the bored where its all ready for a 2nd one.

Then if you go and look at a newer t10001 bd, you will see that they have added a extra mosfet compaired to my rf amp, so that added mosfet must be doing something or it wouldnt of been added, and it looks like the extra capacitor could be added on this one.

So if the company added the one extra mosfet to the amp, it must of been for some reason. So what would happened if the other one was added too along with a capacitor?

looks like they added 2 not 1 mosfet and just because the circle for the cap is there doesnt mean theres anything connected.

Regardless lets assume it would work you wouldnt make enough extra power to warrant anything. what an extra 50w if ur lucky
