wL<3bass
Looking to get some 6.5 for the Talon price is kinda of a hindrance....I was planning on getting 6.5" XXX for the front doors and Cadence midbass for the rear. But seeing that I only have about 3~3.5" of mounting depth.....not gonna happen plus the price was gonna break the bank So I thought hmmmmm maybe 2 sets of PG RSd have been getting some great reviews, such as being able to keep up with speakers well above their price range.... or maybe two set of RE RE 6.5" but some said that they can be out performed for the price..... or some some sort of Rainbow SLX 265....but they are quite a bit more.....and I don't really see spending that much.... I'm more of a silk tweet kinda person but a good quality set of aluminum/titanium tweets can also be suggested Whatever is suggested will be ran off of a T8004 100wrms @ 4ohm, 187wrms @ 2ohm. Mrbubbles00482
If like your mids and highs really bright go with rockford. Im running two sets of Punch P162s components in my front doors off of a sundown 100.4 and they handle the power like its nothing. For an example, currently I have no subs and only one fiberglass door finished so thats two 6.5's and 4 tweets is all I have in my car, and I've been giving demo's with that blowing people away lol Edited October 13, 2008 by Mrbubbles00482
wL<3bass
I like warm tweeters not bright or harsh, and the only shop near me carries boston only and a few mb quart comps (pre-maxxsonics) Quote Vehicle: 1997 S10 Blazer 4dr 4X4 Exterior: Rear End Bagged, Black Grill, Lifted 2" Amplifiers: Rockford Fosgate T8004 & T10001bd Batteries: 2 Stinger SPV35, Kinetik HC2400 Electrical: Big 3, DC Power 290amp Alternator w/ MLA at 15.5v Enclosure: 4.2 ft³ @ 33Hz 84sq.in. of port (20sq.in. per cube) Headunit: Eclipse CD3200 w/ 80G iPod Mids/Highs: Rockford T152s (a-pillars), Rockford T162s (doors) Subwoofers: 1 15" Fi BL Fully Loaded Wire: All 1/0g Kicker Hyperflex My YouTube Videos My Fiberglass A-Pillar Build My "Seamless" Looking Box Build My DD1508 T-Line Bandpass Build "Seamless" w/ Acrylic Windows (for '05 TrailBlazer) My Stealth 8" Fiberglass Build (for '05 TrailBlazer) My Build For A Friend's '08 Cobalt 15" BL Sealed Off From The Trunk My feedback/references... E a r t h
ALot of people seem to having problems with or dislike the PG rsd. I personaly havent heard em, but that seems to be what's been going around last couple months. This is also hearsay on my part so, take it for what it's worth. I'm very happy with my components, but I'm also looking for others.
Forevrbumpn
to bad you dont live in Cali, I have lots of Vifa 6.5"s and silk dome tweeters for the ultimate in SQ, and I could have slapped together a good 12db or 24db octave X over... but if money was a major issues, 12db for about $100 shucks..... :tease: Quote I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.
