korey_hofer
well I threw my AQhd3c in my blazer on my 2500 cause I wanted to see how it sounded and instead of wiring it to 2ohms I wired it 2 .5ohms good news is sub and amp both still work perfectly and were that way for about a week so my question is around how much power was I pushing to it voltage was always over 13volts and the box was 2.8cft tuned to 40hz so before imp rise how much do you thin it was putting out 3000-4000? maybe I have absolutely no idea previously known as wenn_du_weinst aka fucking internet coward supreme. I talk shit on other forums like a little bitch and hope i don't get caught out on the street.

Nightshade
Just an educated guess but I'd say only about 3000 when you calculate for the impedence rise that you box has. I doubt that at 2 ohms you ever put out 2500 because if you have a nominal resistance of 2 ohms the reactive is usually double what the nominal is. So if you were at .5 nominal the reactive could have been 1 ohm at it's lowest so I'd predict about 3000 watts at that impedence. If the reactive load is higher than less power of course. The reactive loads are usually mulitples of the nominal load. Like .5 nominal produces 1ohm, 2ohm, 4ohm, 8ohm and so on. 2013 VW Jetta GLI 2.0 Turbo 1 Sundown Audio SCV2000 1 Sundown Audio X15 V2 1 XS Power D3100 Audio Control LC6i Stock Deck 146.4 sealed on the dash at 37hz 2001 Focus ZX3: RETIRED Team Sundown Audio, Team XS Power, 2 time NSPL Car 3601-Up Champion, 2 time NSPL Car Hardcore ChampionHighest NSPL Scores to date:154.3db on the dash sealed at 46hz, 156.2db in the kick at 46hz155.2db unofficial on dash at 43hz

tommyk90
I would strongly recommend not running your 2500 at .5 ohm. It's a 2 ohm rated amp for a reason. In some cases 1 ohm is safe if you have the proper electrical, but .5 is pushing it way too hard.
