The Big Oki Posted October 19, 2008 Report Share Posted October 19, 2008 As the season comes to its end, and to be honest, I didnt do much to improve the score (for some reasons). The amps I bought in the beginning of the year (another 10 Zapco 9.0) are still laying here untouched. Got the new Emphaser NEO COMP subs and love them, but unfortunately the impedance was lower than predicted so I cannot use 16 Zapco 9.0s on em, as planned. So I got just about 9000 real Watts of power on em ! Always remember that. Score went up to 158,4 dB, what is about 1,5 dB more and with 35-40% less power. Bass Race almost a 158! Broke my roof with the new subs and had to do brace it. Car Sounds great, fast and brutal, just with the sour taste of having my amps still laying around. But I am pretty satisfied with my turnout. And basically just used my TÜRANN car, at least JUST this car for final participations. Did well over 110 competitions in different SPL and SQ Orgs. Collectet lots of 1st places (SQ and SPL). Had lots of "just shows" for example in Clubs or Discos for my sponsors dealers. Drove almost 35 000km Completed my 4000 dB Drag Career points. (Still leader with 4150 all in all). Besides of that, earned good money doing promotion with the car. (Dont think I get extra money to go to competitions, this is STILL my HOBBY and a free bonus for my sponsor ACR !) 3rd place in German AYA Sound Quality Final (just 8,5 sound points away from 1st place in tough OUTLAW class) 1st Place German Champ in SPL CLASSICS Format, Industrial Showcar 5000+ (163,2 dB, old calibratet mics) 1st Place German Champ in dB Cup Lite 159,9 class(similar to Bass Race) 1st Place German Champ in Bass Race 159,9 class 1st Place European Champ in Bass Race 159,9 class (get ANOTHER jacket, the 7th I think...) 1st Place World Champ in dB Cup Lite 159,9 class(similar to Bass Race) 2nd Place World Champ dB Cup Super Pro 3+ 2nd Place World Champ in Bass Race 159,9 (157,9dB, right behind Thommy, as always ) So, letz see what 2009 will bring. If I have the opportunity again to earn some money out of my Car Stereo doings, I d rather choose this option than making the car louder. Will make some people laugh maybe, but at the end of the month, I know who will laugh Its always enough time to put in more dbzzzzz when "its over"... And even if not, who carezzzzz... Even if it looks like an average year for me, maybe with a little less real work than in the recent years (but the roof damage was HORRIBLE!!!) I will be going back to the states in March 09 :censored: but I really enjoyed my time in Germany. You guys are CRAZY about car audio and I've learned alot. Maybe I come and visit you. But at the moment its not sure when or if I am coming back to the states again. I WISH ! And I plan a big trip with visiting a lot of people again, like always But I have to plan and calculate and I hope that people give me schelter again, as I just can offer them shelter when they visit Germany...
