His car made my eardrums feel like they were getting pulled out >.> and there is no cancellation going on, the 4 12s facing the back of the trunk, the other 4 10s spread over in the center of the trunk facing up, and the 2 other 10s facing the backseat on the "shelf", the amp being screwed to the front of the base of the shelf (I really dont know how to describe it, the trunk just kinda sinks 2ft after it, its like 2ft of shelf), eitherway, I think it is pretty good, but I want more power out of this thing, im considering selling this car because its costing quite a bit to keep it filled up, and also, I have upgraded the big 3 on it, its got 2awg right now, 0/1 is a little too much for me, but er... work D: 1997 Pontiac Grand Am SE Broke stock Head Unit Stock speakers suck -if I get a job, it gets 2 SA 8s in a 2.5cube box (roughly 2 cube with the port and woofers in)- -oh, and a new HU and some speakers that dont suck. and possibly a new muffler and tint job (previous owners tint is smudging in the back, if you know how to get tint off a window without damaging the heating stuff, let me know!!!)- Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Buy NEW and not just install your friends' stuff. Pick a brand you like that fits your budget job or not. You said you have the amp running the whole thing? How, I ask, did you wire that? And what's the impedence on your leads? EDIT: In most cases, sound waves will cancel if they are out of phase. 98HOEONSIXEZ Posted November 2, 2008 Report Share Posted November 2, 2008 good for you to raise this, I was trying to get rid of my MTXs so I could get an 18, then I got in a chat with my friend Josh larrison and he agreed that if I gave him my S2.800.4 he'd give me his old SPXs, and I had another friend tell me about his want for my old Zeus 2s, he paid me 180 for them, and I traded with my old gym teacher for his alpines (he was hard on cash, and I thought good deal), and my good friend Hanson Carson from Riley High School gave me 3 of his old audiobahn AW120XS woofers for help painting his house, clearing out his garage, and helping him install his Audiobahn Special 15s (2 of them, he has a Chevy trailblazer, forget the year, think its an 06), I drive a White Buick Regal, 1979, V8 305. I will add pics tommarow as soon as I find my camera, I am not bullshitting. Also, the T40001 was my friend Josh Larrisons. Very solid power amplifier, i'm considering selling it all off and putting 2 18s in it, im pretty sure the t40001 could drive em, not sure what im going with yet, but I was considering 3 12" alpine Type R dual 2s which are for sale on this forum, I was going to buy a few 15s off Grumpy, but he hasnt gave me a shipping quote yet.
