Sniper Posted October 29, 2008 Report Share Posted October 29, 2008 Hello, you may know me as that kid with the ghetto setup, well, I got tired of that, I've sold every single thing in the Buick, and even sold the Buick and bought a 91 Ford Thunderbird with my friend Daniel, we are buying a Kole Audio KX1-4000D amplifier off a forum member from here, and a RE MT 18" subwoofer from a member on here, anyway, me and Dan are very low experience in installs, basically saying, we need your help to make this build happen! For preparations, we have vac'd out the whole car and installed an aftermarket Clarion headunit, and have ran 4ga power wire through the car to the trunk, not the ghetto through the cabin way though, thats too ghetto for us, we ran the wire under the doors on the frame (carpet needed ripped out anyway, that shits dirty as hell to begin with) straight to the trunk, but this RE MT isnt gonna beat well in the trunk now is it? We have already removed the rear seats and applied MDF .75 to the trunk-cabin bit (backseat rest), and MDF .75 to the seat (which was removed btw) to seal up that section after running wire through, we bore'd 4 holes through the wood panel to the trunk and ran T bolts through it for access in the trunk, all I must ask right now is who has a cam for sale (my sony DSC is gone, think it may have got stolen... along with my sword and knife) I hope ya'll know where were heading if we've already prep'd the seat like that this will be shifted to the build logs as soon as I get a new cam, cellphone cams just dont work X.X 1997 Pontiac Grand Am SE Broke stock Head Unit Stock speakers suck -if I get a job, it gets 2 SA 8s in a 2.5cube box (roughly 2 cube with the port and woofers in)- -oh, and a new HU and some speakers that dont suck. and possibly a new muffler and tint job (previous owners tint is smudging in the back, if you know how to get tint off a window without damaging the heating stuff, let me know!!!)- Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

"Great Stuff" works like a charm, but is a bit messy if you're not careful. good luck on the build guys. i would deff get some 1/0 then use a reducer if the 1/0 wont fir in the amp. ....................................................... I mean I cant just use fronts, these speakers are tiny in the front!
