Ernesto
I have a 15.3" flipdown in my Expo. Haven't been able to see how much abuse it could take from bass but my factory 7" took a beating and managed to stay on even thought two 15" L7s were shaking the shit out of it. I installed it myself however if you don't know how to do it, pay the $50 it get it done right.
kingsuv
First burp with the new system took out my overhead. It's still sitting in the "things that broke in the truck" box Quote Designing, building, and shipping boxes. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.
bassmachine
Oh i know how to do it, as a matter a fact I think im going to install a 7'' between the visors, do I make holes throught my interior or what because I seen people have screens taken out there car and it looks like there hasent been any screws placed in the roof and are there 3 main cables that hook up to the main dash such as a power ground and memory, I just want to make sure its the same just if I was hooking up a monitor on top of my HU. Is there anything I should be aware of before I take my roof down ,such as keeping my roof up or are the screws hold it (depending where the screen is placed) Quote Windows Xp1 40 & 120gigHDDMSI BoardUNDERCONSTRUCTION Dr. Doom aka StarScream3kDestruction at ur service
Ernesto
If your car didn't come with a hole already from a previous tv then you will have to cut one out to allow to run the wires. As far as I know all TVs need a ground, power wire, and if your running it to the indash, RCAs. If your getting it to play DVDs or PS2 then it may be slightly easier. Ernesto
And you drill it onto the roof. The only one that came clipped on was my factory tv.

CUT BUDDY
Flip downs are simple. U just take ur monitor and kinda place it where u think u might want it. Put take in the spot that u have chosen. Take the headliner out and punch a small hole just big enough to pull yuor cables through. Do all your wiring first and then ur ready. Most flip downs come with a mounting plate. What u do is put the plate on top of of the headliner (reminding this is after all your wire is ran) then u sandwich the headliner b/w the plate and the monitor and bolt the monitor to the plate. Then u connect the wiring and install the headliner. WalaH! Basically the headliner is your support for the monitor. I like flipdowns better than headrest screens because if u ever decide to take it out it doesnt cost anything to just get a sheet of headliner material and recover it and it'll look like u never had anything in there.
