Subs Pop When Amp Powers On

Hey has anybody ever had the problem where upon turning the car/amps on all the subs they are hooked to pop very loudly?

It only happens once violently and then it's fine for playing music! This seemed to blow my amps last time. It even happens when all gains, bass knobs, and volume all the way down.

This is killing me! I don't want to crack my cones! I have well enough power to run them and it just returned from repair and it still does it!

Wtf is it?

Sounds like the ''anti thump circuit'' or ''soft start circuit''. Does the amp power off before the head unit? Or vise versa? You could wire in a delay circuit. Ive seen them some where, I just have to find it

you can cook bacon shirtless if you're not a pussy...lol

not hatin, but am i wrong here it looks as if the amp is not grounded its hooked directly to the battery. it that the way it should be.

Unfortunately I can't see the pic cause I'm at work.

But there are two amps and only one does it. In the last setup I had four of these amps and the same one did it. I sent it out for repair and they replaced the fets and transformers on it claiming it was the problem, now that it's hooked up it does it again...

The fact that there's only one rules out the delay I think...

I think it's just a lemon. I'm gonna go bitch monday. Nobody's had this issue before?

I like the idea in that picture!!!

But if it was one of my amps, it would go back.

U told them it had a turn on thump when they serviced it?

And their answer was that was fixed?

U get a invoice with that repair stating they fixed it?

Well it just says what was fixed on the repair order. It doesn't say "fixed the thump". I am going to take it back. The Memphis rep out here knows me well and might just swap it out.

Thanks guys
