What Will Get Louder?

Recommended Posts

I am getting ready to start working on a little system for my car soon. what will get louder 2 12 inch JL audio w1v2's or 1 12 inch JL audio w3v3. I would put them in a nice custom ported box and use the reccomended power.

in theory, the 2 12's would get louder, in actuality either one could get louder than the other setup, depends on a lot of factors.

it is going into a 2000 Pontiac grand am sedan, and i am using JL's exact specs for a ported box.

If loud is your main goal there are better choices in sub brands.

However, out of those 2 choices, the 2 12s would get louder any day, the W3 just cant be pushed hard enough to compensate for the lower cone area.

yeah go for the 2 12's more cone area unless you had the space for a t-line for a single twelve, but beings it's going in a trunk that might get kinda tricky
