Why do they have 2 channels on the P1000-1bd when its a 1 channel amp? can i use one channel per sub to reach a 1 ohm load if im wiring in parallel? Or would I have to wire on one channel to both subs.... never really understood the concept, and sorry for the dumb question everyone.
Forevrbumpn Posted November 22, 2008 Report Posted November 22, 2008 it is actually 1 channel, the amp is internally parallel I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.

Guest KyleCannon Posted November 22, 2008 Report Posted November 22, 2008 Nah you were Forevr, just wanted to make sure I was understanding correctly, So I could wire each sub parallel to reach 2 ohms a piece then internally it would make it 1 ohm, correct?
cmrs2k Posted November 22, 2008 Report Posted November 22, 2008 Should be. Inside the amp it is just connecting whatever load(s) you give it in parallel. The two sets of speaker terminals are strictly to make things neater and cleaner.
