When you drop an ohm below the rating it's making the amp work twice as hard, you're not going to have very long life with it that way. But it's your money. And I've always been a Kicker fan and still will be, but the RF are a bit more advanced. Opinion Yes, but you compare, either are great, I seen near 2000w RMS out of my KX1200.1. The RF don't play though buddy. I will be lucky to be seeing 2k to the subs prolly after box rise and such or so im told. this is my first larger power setup and dont want to the disapointed.
