I bought a component system that was supose to handle 200 watts rms each (tweet, mid), i put 100 watts to the them and 10 min later up in smoke went the tweeters; mids were fine. I sent them back on warranty and recieved a new set same result. i changed out the tweeters and blew them to. I'm running 2 18" dc audio lvl 4's w/lvl 5 coils so i need sugguestions on component set in the $75 - $200 dollar range that sound good but can also take 100 watts or more constantly;

The new Alpine Type X comps are pure sonic bliss. I've never heard a component set sound so natural and life like. I'm sure the top of the line Alpine F1 amp that was powering them had a little something to do with it, but none the less they are phenominal.
