Crump Posted December 2, 2008 Report Posted December 2, 2008 I have seen Efficiency around the sites, For Example the Rockford Fosgate T-1500 Amp with 68% Efficiency at one ohm. Is the the % of watts that actually gets to the sub or what is it? Eskii Posted December 2, 2008 Report Posted December 2, 2008 It is the percentage of the total power drawn from the electrical system of your car, which is powering the driver. ie a T1500 roughly puts out ~1700W, therefore the draw from your electricals is ~2500W (68% efficiency) Divide by you're average system voltage and you have current draw Bingo Bango! So it is putting out 1500 Watts Rms? So if i wire to 1 ohm with 2 1 ohm Fi SSds @ 800 watts rms they will both get 750 watts? Boon Posted December 2, 2008 Report Posted December 2, 2008 Correct except for one part. 1 ohm Fi SSDs? Only works if they're dual voice coil. I don't know if the SSD comes in SVC but if you get 2 SVC 1 ohm subs you're boned. (or 2 2 ohm DVC subs) 10.x volts fo' life!

(they are 800 Rms, and they will be getting 750 rms?)
